Crackdown 2 is a game similar to the Grand Theft Auto series. It is a free roaming game that is set in the future. You are sent on missions by a government agency to perform the tasks they ask. These are generally concerned with activating power sources for enormous EMP bombs. These EMP bombs are then set off kill the undead enemies that roam the world.
The main character(you), increases his skills such as strength, agility, accuracy, explosion skill, and melee combat. Once you have increased your skills enough, you posess enough power to lift cars, jump 100's of meters at a time, and create massive explosions. Also, the more you skill up, the more equipment that the government agency makes available to you, including tanks, supercars, large guns, and even helicopters.

All for the end result of saving the city for the undead.

Red Alert3

Red Alert 3 is a 2008 real-time strategy video game developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts. The game is set in a parallel universe in which World War II never happened—in the original Red Alert, Albert Einstein travelled back in time and removed Hitler in the 1920s. After an Allied victory in Red Alert 2, the Soviet leaders travelled back in time and removed Albert Einstein in 1927, preventing the Allies from creating atomic weapons while the Soviet Union rose to power, battling the Allies in the 1950s. In this game, the Empire of the Rising Sun  rises to power as a threat as well (an unintentional result of the Soviets' time travelling). All three factions are playable, with the main gameplay involving constructing a base, gathering resources, and training armies composed of land, sea, and airborne units to defeat other players. Each faction has a fully co-operative campaign, playable with an artificial intelligence  or with another human player online. These campaigns follow a storyline, with specific mission objectives and unit restrictions applied. Unrestricted skirmish play against the computer and multiplayer via LAN or online is also available.

Age Of Empires

Released in 1997 AOE is one classic real-time strategy games. With game modes of campaing and random map players are able to follow a storyline or play a normal match against a computer. With historic events like "the wheel" as technology upgrades through the ages.

Having played it several times the graphics of this is very limited compared to games you see nowadays. With different civilisations and multiplayer this appealed to people who like to play with different styles.

In 1999 ensemble studios released AOE2, compared to first of the series it has much better graphics and control over units. Campaigns follow great historic events and people such as "1066", "El Cid" and "Atilla the Hun". Such gameplay allows the enjoyment of learning history and pwning the computer at the same time. This made it a grat success with the ablility to create your own map and multiplayer with different ways of winning.

This is my actual gameplay taking more than 3hrs to finish

Spending many of my hours playing this game it is not surprising that The Age of Kings won Strategy Game of the Year and Computer Game of the Year at the 2000.

AOE3 the latest age is based on a modern era with mostly gunpowder units, playing with different civilisations like the other ages, it has much better graphics and the sight of units and building actually looking circular. Unlike the older AGES it has a circular map rather than a rectangular one making units walk in a straight line to an open area clicked and a more realistic look when units fall or get blown away by cannons.

The part i found disappointing about the game was that most military units were trained in bulks of 5, villagers dont carry resources, shipments and some buildings offer unlimited supply of resources at a steady rate. This greatly decreased the amount of skill and management when playing making it seem a bit easy.

I think Super Mario 64 was the first game i ever played seriously. Played it until my friends nintendo overheated. It was good times.
In the game you play as mario, a character who explores the world of Princess Peaches Castle. Throughout the castle there are secret entrances to new worlds through paintings on the walls. When inside mario faces monsters on his journey to aquire Stars. Each small world has secret places, and hidden features that you can discover from exploring without a time limit.

Even though it was one of the first 3 dimensional games, it introduced new adventures with extremely advanced graphics for its time. Best Game Ever, give it a go

Moving up from my recent super nintendo game posts, i have decided to talk about another old but more recent console, the sony playstation, and one of its classic games, DOOM. The sony playstation revolutionised gaming, with 3d graphics far surpasing the previous gaming consoles.

Not only did the sony playstation have better graphics, they were very dedicated on making great games for the platform, one of these being the game doom. Doom was one of the first shooting games available, and created the whole shooting genre, which is now are the most popular platform games.

Doom is based on the story that hell has escaped on earth, slaying these monsters in the most gruesome way possible. You have an array of weapons at your disposal, from plasma guns to chainsaws and even your metal studded fist. The game was so successful not only due to the fact it was a shooting game with many weapons, but the levels were very well thought out.

The levels continually keep you on your toes, with well hidden monsters and a maze like quality constantly keeping your brain busy. The game is also full of many secrets which keep you trying to find many weeks after you have completed the game.

Overall i really recommend this game to any avid gamers, who dont mind a drop in graphics from the modern day games to a game based on just classic good old gameplay. Here is a trailer below which gives you a basic idea of the gameplay and i hope it encourages you to play.
